HOPE Club or Student Group Membership

What is it?
A HOPE Club, or Student Group Membership, is a group of 3 to 15 students dedicated to participating to the elimination of world poverty and our fight for sustainable development.

All members contribute to a minimum suggested donation of ¥1,500/month (¥18,000/year), for example:
  • ¥100 each/month if 15 members
  • ¥500 each/month if 3 members
  • ¥300 each/month if 5 members
In addition to this monthly fee, the HOPE Club will find fun and imaginative ways of raising money to sponsor one or several specific projects each year.

A representative of the group, or HOPE Club Coordinator, is responsible for:
  • Collecting the money (ideally monthly, but it could be bimonthly or quarterly).
  • Coordinating the information within the group.
  • Informing HOPE of any changes of members.
Possible projects to sponsor (ask us for updated info):
  • A solar light for a family in Cambodia
    • Small: 5,000 yen
    • Large: 30,000 yen
  • A Cow: 80,000
  • A Well: 100,000
  • A School: 3,000,000
Some ideas of how to raise funds and share your message of HOPE:
  • Car wash
  • Bake Sale
  • Sausage Sizzle
  • Concert
  • Produce a Video for the HOPE YOUTUBE CHANNEL and ask individuals and companies to pay for sponsorship. The video could then be shown at one of our big events.
  • ... Be creative!
All HOPE Club members are entitled to the same privileges as HOPE Members.
