April 2010

A message from the HOPE team...

Dear HOPE Supporter,

Spring has come! As nature awakens and flower buds open around us this time of year we, in Japan, are busy preparing for the beginning of a new cycle. Those seeds that you may have planted earlier this year will soon, if not already, germinate and grow. It's the start of a new life and new opportunities. Let's plant those seeds too for those less fortunate in developing countries who are awaiting our continuous efforts to reach them. Let’s help them plant those seeds and give them the opportunity to see life growing around them too.

For HOPE Japan March was an exciting month dedicated to people like you who believe in us and who believe in making a difference in the lives of so many people in need. With more than 500 participants attending the different events that were held during HOPE at the Hilton Week , the online auctions, the raffles and the information distributed at the different locations, HOPE was able to raise interest and awareness of difficult realities in developing countries. We want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your participation and generous donations. Your support and contributions helped us, once again, make this year’s events week a great success.

April will also be the host of an exciting event for those in Tokyo. We hope to have a chance to see you at the Tokyo GALA and Auction on April 9th. Don't miss the chance to learn more about HOPE and the story of families such as Ms.Oeun whose life has been changed thanks to your support.

For those of you at the Yokohama International School we are looking forward to a meaningful Feast and Famine Event on April 20th that will help us spread awareness on how malnutrition affects the lives of thousands of children and the world. Remember that big changes can start with small steps.

We trust you’ll enjoy the wonderful cherry blossom season that blankets Japan this time of year.
