Dear HOPE Supporter,
 
It is a wonderful time of year. Gardens are blooming, birds are singing, and we are enjoying the in between time of the cold of winter and the heat of summer. But life is hard year round for those earning less than 1 dollar a day. The good news is that by this time next year, thousands of people will have a better life because of the generous support of people in Japan who give thoughtfully and regularly to programs that help poor families become self reliant.
 
We are grateful for all those who attended, sponsored and gave financially at the HOPE Dinners in Nagoya in March and Tokyo in April. This week, we have the final Gala of the season at the Ritz Carlton in Osaka and are pleased to have many corporate sponsors with the Volkswagen Group Japan as the Event Sponsor for this Kansai wide event.
 
Dinners are an important part of our strategy in raising support and awareness for the poor. But we are also in need of people to join HOPE as a member and give regularly, for it is the regular giving that enables HOPE to maintain its important programs.
 
If you have not joined already, please consider making a commitment to give 1,000 yen a month. Your membership will help provide the necessary access to clean water for several people each year
