Five years ago, just before she received a HOPE well, she was very poor, could not afford to send her children to school, barely produced 5 baskets of vegetables a month, and had to work for others at less than 50 cents a day.

 

Today, her children go to school, she produces 40 baskets of food a month surplus to her families needs, she has bought land, employs others and has built a better house.

 

What a difference water makes.

 

The photos illustrate how before the well she produced only 2 crops during dry season, four crops during raining season. Now she produces a whole variety of crops, and she has even created a flower garden, because for the first time in her life, she can also enjoy the beautiful things of life and not be consumed with daily survival.
