HOPE at the Hilton Weekend in Nagoya

Given the success of the HOPE at the Hilton Week, which took place this spring at Hilton Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya, HOPE International and the Hilton joined forces again from 25th to 28th September for the HOPE at the Hilton Weekend in Nagoya.

The event focused on well-being and taking care of yourself, with our most popular events Charity Cut and Relax for Charity. A fantastic opportunity to relax, while at the same time helping the poor to take care of themselves as well!

Thanks to the help of the generous hairstylists and massage therapists who volunteered for this event again and of course thanks to your donations, ¥172,500 was raised during these 2 events.

We even had the pleasure to welcome John Ahern, who had not had his hair cut since the HOPE at the Hilton Week held in March 2008 and managed to raise ¥70,000 for this special occasion!

And for the most “sporty”, the HOPE Triathlon gathered 5 teams - 32 participants, who, thanks to their motivation and dedication, managed to fundraise ¥622,840, and achieve a distance of more than 500 km (running, biking, and lifting weights) all together!

Thank you everyone for challenging or taking care of yourself in order to raise money to help the people in developing world climb out of poverty.

Hilton Osaka is also hosting a repeat of the popular Charity Cut and Relax for Charity on October 25th and 26th. Stay tuned for details!
