Sri Lanka
Emergency Relief for Internally Displaced People
Project Description:
After a civil war that lasted 14 years many people in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka were forced to leave their homes and migrate to safer areas for protection. Upon their gradual return, these vulnerable communities of internally displaced people (IDP) have to rebuilt their lives. HOPE is closely working with its local NGO partner, Sri Lanka Centre for Development Facilitation, to improve the quality of life for the most disadvantaged and marginalized IDPs and returnees.
